The Kenyan Business Council UAE launches, registered with the Dubai Chamber of Commerce

Registered with the Dubai Chamber of Commerce, the Kenyan Business Council UAE holds its official launch and inaugural general meeting on Friday 10 July 2026.

The Kenyan Business Council UAE has been officially registered with the Dubai Chamber of Commerce, joining the Chamber's network of country business councils that connect international business communities with Dubai's government and private sector.

The council's official launch and inaugural general meeting takes place on Friday 10 July 2026, hosted in partnership with the Dubai Chamber of Commerce — bringing together the founding board, founding members, and invited officials.

A council for a growing corridor

The council arrives at a decisive moment. Bilateral trade between Kenya and the UAE crossed $3.1 billion in 2023, growing 26.4% year on year, and the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement signed in 2024 is set to accelerate that trajectory — particularly for Kenya's flagship exports of tea, cut flowers, and fresh produce.

Vision and mission

The council's vision is to serve as the premier cross-border economic catalyst — positioning Kenya as East Africa's gateway for UAE capital, and bridging UAE networks for Kenyan scale-ups and SMEs.

Its mission: to empower bilateral enterprise members by providing top-tier government advocacy, advanced matchmaking networks, and clear regulatory guidance — so the corridor's strategic treaties become their commercial advantage.

Year one is built around four moves:

  1. Structural launch — official onboarding and a CEPA helpdesk within the secretariat.
  2. B2B matchmaking — bilateral sectoral forums in the UAE, spanning logistics, agri-tech, services, and more.
  3. Bilateral missions — the first multi-sector investor delegation from the UAE to Kenya.
  4. Annual audit — complete financial transparency, with independent reviews presented to the membership.

Membership now open

Membership is open to Kenyan-owned companies, companies with substantial Kenya interests, and Kenyan professionals across the Emirates. Details and the application form are available on the membership page.
