The Kenya Business Council UAE is officially registered with the Dubai Chamber of Commerce
Following a launch reception at the Ritz-Carlton DIFC attended by more than two hundred business leaders, the Kenya Business Council UAE begins work as the official council for Kenyan business in the Emirates.

The Kenya Business Council UAE has been officially registered with the Dubai Chamber of Commerce, joining the Chamber's network of country business councils that connect international business communities with Dubai's government and private sector.
The registration was marked with a launch reception and inaugural general meeting at the Ritz-Carlton DIFC on 12 March, attended by more than two hundred Kenyan business leaders, professionals, and friends of Kenya from across the Emirates.
A council for a growing corridor
The council arrives at a decisive moment. Bilateral trade between Kenya and the UAE crossed $3.1 billion in 2023, growing 26.4% year on year, and the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement signed in 2024 is set to accelerate that trajectory — particularly for Kenya's flagship exports of tea, cut flowers, and fresh produce.
"Kenyan enterprise has been present in the Emirates for decades. What it has lacked is a single, recognised voice. From today, it has one."
The inaugural general meeting ratified the council's constitution, confirmed the founding board, and adopted a first-year agenda built on three commitments:
- Advocacy — representing Kenyan business interests in consultations with the Dubai Chamber and government stakeholders.
- Community — a monthly calendar of networking and knowledge events for members.
- Market intelligence — practical briefings that help members act on the CEPA, from tariff schedules to certification.
Membership now open
Membership is open to Kenyan-owned companies, companies with substantial Kenya interests, and Kenyan professionals across the Emirates, in four tiers from Corporate to Associate. Details and the application form are available on the membership page.
The council thanks the Dubai Chamber of Commerce for its support through the registration process, and the founding members whose commitment made the launch possible.
